Former Pioneer Tonje Daffinrud added to LET

Oct. 22, 2014

LEVENHEATH, United Kingdom - This past weekend former Pioneer golfer Tonje Daffinrud took third place in the WPGA International Challenge to earn her card on the Ladies European Tour (LET). Daffinrud had won two tournaments before this past weekend. With her victories before and her third place finish this past weekend, Daffinrud has secured herself a spot on the Ladies European Tour for the upcoming 2015 season.

Pioneer women's golf coach Lindsay Kuhle is excited for her former pupil saying

"We are so proud of Tonje to get her card on the ladies European tour. She has worked so hard on her game and playing professionally has been a dream of hers. She has won two tournaments on the LET access tour this past month and is absolutely ready to compete against the best players in the world. We wish her the best of luck next season."

Daffinrud herself is quite excited " It feels amazing to be a member of the LET 2015. I had my hopes up for a top 20 finish on the LET Access Series ranking, but I didn't dream of top 5. I've had a great last couple of weeks and my game has really come together. I am really excited for next year and I am going to use this winter to prepare as good as I can for LET. I'm pumped ."
