DENVER - The top-seeded University of Denver men's soccer team will host the Summit League Men's Soccer Championships begenning with the league semifinals on Thursday at CIBER Field at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Denver will take on IPFW at 3 p.m. MT, a match that will be preceded by second-seeded Oral Roberts and Western Illinois at 12 p.m. MT. Both matches will air live on Altitude 2.



THE LAST TIME OUT
The Pioneers earned the number one seed in the upcoming Summit League tournament with a1-0 overtime win against Western Illinois Saturday evening at CIBER Field. Kosta Kordistos scored from 6-yards out off a throw in by Kasey Esponda with 6:13 left in the second period of extra time.

BENCH BOSS
Pioneers Head Coach Bobby Muuss is now in his 8th season at the helm. He has fashioned an all-time record of 72-55-25 for a .567 winning percentage. In league play, Muuss' record stands at 34-16-9, a .680 winning percentage.

HOME SWEET HOME
The formal name is CIBER Field at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. the facility, which opened in August of 2009, features a natural grass surface and has a listed capacity of 1,915.
The Pioneers have produced an impressive 20-2-3 record at CIBER Field the past two seasons. Overall, the Pioneers are 32-13-9 in their brief history at CIBER Field. Their first match at CIBER Field was on September 11, 2009 and resulted in a dramatic 2-1 OT win against Dayton before a crowd of 1,652, which remains the home attendance mark for men's soccer. For the record Matt Kirby scored the first Pioneers goal and Alex Tarnoczi notched the game winner for DU.
The Pioneers win over Western Illinois was their 15th straight win at home.
