Of the experience, Kate Acker stated, "Today has been really special for me and Bailey. Everybody has been thanking me and congratulating me, but I also want to say thank you to everyone who has made my DU experience what it's been, because it has been the time of my life and I'm sad to see it come to a close. I couldn't be more proud that we made history today."
Bailey Karst also noted, "Being a part of the first team to make history in this program has been incredible. It's a season to remember, and I hope we leave a legacy that the girls can continue on for the next several years."
Head coach Jesse Mahoney added that he is proud of this regular season. "Today we played a great, competitive game. We stayed composed throughout that second set and brought that energy into the final one to win it. Kate and Bailey have played exceptionally well all season, but especially today.
