DENVER – University of Denver junior Devin Delaney (North Conway, N.H.) was recently announced as the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association Women’s Alpine MVP for the 2014 season.
Delaney earned 412 points of a possible 500 points for her performances throughout the season. Colorado’s Thea Grosvold came in second-place with 407 points. Delaney had two top-five finishes during the season and three top-10 finishes overall.
Junior Espen Lysdahl (Asker, Norway) won the RMISA MVP last season, winning by 71 points.
Pioneer skiing is back in action when Denver hosts the RMISA Championship/West NCAA Regional from Feb. 21-22. Alpine events will be held in Beaver Creek, Colo., while Nordic events will be in Minturn, Colo.
