DENVER - The University of Denver volleyball team defeated Oral Roberts (25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 16-25, 15-11) Friday in Tulsa, Okla. The Pioneers are 25-6 on the season and 13-3 in The Summit League, ensuring at least part of the Summit League regular season title.

Sarah Schmid (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Nola Basey (Lyons, Colo.) led the Pioneers with 12 kills apiece, a season high for Basey. Schmid also tied her single-match career high with service aces, whileCassidy Rooke (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) served two aces. Rooke also led Denver with 21 digs. Piyusha Boteju (Euless, Texas) and Monique Domme (Colorado Springs, Colo.) split the setting duties, tallying 17 and 15 assists, respectively. Becca Latham (Austin, Texas) had a solo block and three block assists in the match, andRuth Okoye (Aurora, Colo.) had four blocks.

The Pioneers will host The Summit League Championships Friday, November 20 through Sunday, November 22.
