Bradley Earns All-Summit Honorable Mention

ELMHURST, Ill.- University of Denver junior point guardPaige Bradley(The Woodlands, Texas) was named All-Summit Honorable Mention, it was announced Thursday by the league office. The vote was conducted by the leagues nine head coaches, sports information directors and select media members.

During the 2014-15 season, Bradley led the Pioneers in points per game, assists per game, made free throws, steals and 3-point shooting percentage. On the year, Bradley averaged 12.9 points per game, 4.5 assists per game, 4.2 rebounds per game and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 43 percent from 3-point range.

Through 30 games Bradley is tops in The Summit League in 3-point shooting percentage (43%), third in assists per game (4.5) and 10th in scoring (12.9).

Bradley's 54 made 3-pointers this season ranks 10th in Denver women's basketball program history for made 3-pointers in a single season. Her 43 percent 3-point shooting percentage is seventh best in program history for a single season.

Bradley scored 19 or more points six times this season, including a season-high 21 points against South Dakota on Feb. 18 in Magness Arena. She also hit four 3-pointers in a game four different times this season. On Jan. 24 in a road game against IPFW, Bradley set the Pioneers program record for most assists in a game with 14 assists and she recorded a double-double with 11 points.

This is the second year in a row that Bradley has been named All-Summit Honorable Mention.

Western Illinois forward Ashley Luke was named Summit League Player of the Year. Oral Roberts' center Vicky McIntyre took home the Newcomer of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors. IUPUI's Mikale Rodgers was named Sixth Woman of the Year and South Dakota's Amy Williams received the Coach of the Year award.

The Summit League Tournament begins Saturday, at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., and will be televised on Midco Sports Network and ESPN3. Denver plays South Dakota State in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m. MT. The Pioneers and Jackrabbits split the season series this year, with the Pioneers winning the last matchup 77-72 on Feb. 11 at Magness Arena. The eight teams Summit League teams will vie for an NCAA Tournament automatic bid, which goes to the winner of the championship game on March 10, at noon MT on ESPNU.
