The University of Denver men’s hockey team began its quest for the eighth national championship in program history on Tuesday afternoon, skating together for the first time as a complete squad at Magness Arena. Team Captain Grant Arnold was pleased with Tuesday’s on-ice session.
“I thought it was a really good day,” Arnold said following the up-tempo skate. “Everyone was working really hard. All of our guys are in really good shape and have come into camp very focused. Obviously a few guys were nervous, especially the freshmen and underclassmen, but everyone was skating hard and doing a good job in the drills. It was definitely a good first practice for us.”
Denver opens its 2015-16 season with an exhibition game against Calgary on Sunday, Oct. 4. Tickets to this 6:06pm contest can be obtained by clicking HERE.
