DENVER - On the eve of the 2016 Summit League Volleyball Championships, the University of Denver had five prominent members named to the All-Summit League team this evening, three of whom will cap off illustrious careers in the Crimson and Gold.

Nola Basey, Ruth Okoye, and Kayla Principato were all named to the All-Summit League Team, while Monique Domme and Emma Willis earned honorable mention status.

Basey will add to her impressive resume, earning a spot on the 2013 Summit League All-Freshman team while being named the Freshman of the Year and an honorable mention on the All-League team, to go with a selection to the 2014 All-Summit League team.

The Lyons, Colo., native is in the midst of one of the most productive seasons at Hamilton Gymnasium, already a member of the 1,000 kills club and on pace to surpass 1,000 career digs, making her the fifth Pioneer to pass the totals in both categories in a career.

Okoye was the Summit League Tournament MVP in 2015 while helping Denver to its second-straight league championship and berth in the NCAA Tournament. She anchors one of the most dominant defenses in the nation, currently 34th with a .167 opponent hitting percentage, and is second in the Summit League with 1.07 blocks per set coupled with the third-best hitting percentage at .358.

The Aurora, Colo., native is no stranger to success as she is a member of DU's 300 blocks club, currently at 335 and on the brink of making her way into the top-10 list at Denver.

Principato finishes her second-consecutive year on the All-Summit League team, already earning a selection in 2015 as a sophomore to go with a place on the All-Tournament team at the end of the year. The Rockville Centre, N.Y., native is at the helm of an incredibly productive offense, ranked 17th in the NCAA at .268 with 303 kills at 2.97 per set and a .277 clip, while having a hand on the defensive half of the net with a 0.85 blocks per set average.

Not to be outdone, one of the drivers of the offense comes in the form of Domme as the senior setter took home her first selection as an honorable mention after pacing the attack with 5.75 assists per set while splitting time in a 6-2 offense.

The Colorado Springs native also became a prestigious member of the 1,000 assists club earlier in the season and is currently ranked 13th all-time with 1,380.

Rounding out the quintet, Willis will cap off a stellar sophomore season as the other half of the Pioneer's middle tandem, splitting time with Okoye in every match while second in the league with a .379 hitting percentage and leading the league in blocks per set at 1.10.

The La Jolla, Calif., native, took home her first All-Tournament selection earlier in the year at the Denver Invitational and will certainly have plenty to look forward to in the coming years at the head of the potent Pioneer offense.

Denver will begin the tournament on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. MT in Hamilton Gymnasium and will face the winner of the Fort Wayne/Oral Roberts matchup slated for Friday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m. MT.

Tickets are on sale for the tournament and can be found here.
