Feb. 26, 2017 DENVER - The University of Denver women's golf team heads out to the west coast to compete in the Bruin Wave Invitational, set to begin on Monday. The three-round event will be played at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.
Par for the 6,323-yard course is 72 in the 15-team field.
The Pioneers are coming off a 14th-place finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship last week in New Orleans.
Head coach Lindsay Kuhle will go with the lineup of Mariell Bruun, Jessica Carty, Katharina Baratta, Camille Enright and Lauren Whyte.
Bruun is coming off recently being named Summit League Women's Golfer of the Week by the league after her outing last week. It was the second time this season that the senior has won the award.
Carty tied for 35th in her last tournament with a three-round total of 225.
Baratta tied for 41st at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.
Whyte looks to build on her last outing, which she finished tied for 65th.
This is Enright's first spring tournament this season.
