Feb. 3, 2017 The DU Pioneers and BYU Cougars engaged in a highly-competitive, back-and-forth tennis match on Friday night in Provo, with the home team ultimately prevailing by a score of 4-3. Denver is now 1-3 on the season.
After BYU took a 1-0 lead after opening the match with a pair of doubles wins, DU stormed back to take a 3-2 lead on the strength of dramatic three-set victories by Diogo Rocha, Yannik James and Alex Gasson.
