The DU men's tennis team laid claim to its fourth consecutive Summit League Championship on Saturday, defeating Omaha by a score of 4-1 at Indianapolis' West Indy Tennis Club in the League's 35th Annual Title Match. Denver earns an automatic bid in the 2017 NCAA Tournament (May 12-14 at TBD, May 18-29 in Athens, Ga.) by virtue of Saturday's win. The bracket for this year's national tourney will be announced on Tuesday at 3pm MT on NCAA.com.

After Team Rocha/Ruder-Hook and Team Lovera/Fernandez Del Valle both earned 6-3 doubles wins to give DU an early 1-0 lead on Saturday, Diogo Rocha (No. 2: 6-1, 6-1), Pedro Fernandez Del Valle (No. 5: 6-3, 6-1) and Jesse Ruder-Hook (No. 4: 7-6, 6-1) all defeated their singles opponents to deliver Denver the team victory and League Title. The Pioneers are now 13-12 on the 2017 season and 28-0 all-time in Summit League play (Reg. Season/Post-Season).
