SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – University of Denver men's swimming and diving junior swimmer
Hugo Sykes (Weston, Conn.) has been named the Summit League Men's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Sykes earned two individual event wins, two individual second-place finishes and was a part of two relay wins in the Pioneers two dual victories this weekend. The Denver junior's individual win at Air Force was the first of his career. Sykes improved on his times in both the 200 free and the 100 free from Thursday's meet at Air Force to Saturday's home meet against Wyoming, while chipping in victories in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay.

Both programs will head to Iowa City this week to battle Iowa and Michigan. The two-day dual meet will begin on Friday at 5 p.m. MT, before the three teams return to the water on Saturday at 9 a.m. MT.
