DENVER— The University of Denver women's volleyball team will face the No. 2 seed South Dakota in the final match of the 2018 Summit League Tournament. The match will be held at 2 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium on Sunday.
The Pioneers are looking for their fifth championship title in six years.
Denver entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed, having already clinched its fifth-consecutive Summit League regular-season title back on Nov. 2. On Saturday, the Pioneers defeated Purdue Fort Wayne 3-0 to advance to the championship match.
Senior
Becca Latham led with nine kills against the Mastodons, while
Ellie Anderson held down the Denver defense, totaling 22 assists.
USD will face the Crimson and Gold in the final match of the weekend, having taking down North Dakota State in the semifinal match on Saturday in four sets. The Coyotes are 20-9 on the year, wrapping up Summit League regular-season matches with a 13-3 mark.
The two previously met on Oct. 30 for a five-set thriller, won by Denver.

TOGETHER 4 COLORADO TOY DRIVE:
The Pioneers have partnered with CBS4 for the Together 4 Colorado Toy Drive to support the Denver community during the holiday season. Beginning Nov. 17, there will be toy drops at every Denver Athletics and Newman Center event thru Dec. 19. Additionally, there will be a Community Shop 'n Drop on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., hosted by the Denver Cheerleading squad at the circle drive on the north side of the Ritchie Center.
