DENVER – The University of Denver women's basketball team will travel up to Fort Collins to face in-state opponent Colorado State on Friday at 12 p.m. MT.

Denver is in the midst of a three-game losing streak after falling 87-83 to Samford on Wednesday morning. The Pioneers average just over 82 points per game while holding opponents to 76.1 points per game and 38.7 percent from the floor. Head coach Jim Turgeon's up-tempo style of play produces five double-digit scorers in Madison Nelson (15.4 points per game), Lauren Loven (15.3 points per game), Courtney Smith (12.6 points per game), Claire Gritt (11.7 points per game) & Samantha Romanowski (11.2 points per game). The non-conference matchup will be the last of the regular season for the Pioneers.

The Rams are 4-5 in head coach Ryun Williams' seventh season after finishing 21-12 and reaching the WNIT a season ago. Colorado State averages just 51.2 points per game but holds opponents to 55.0 points per game and 32.2 percent from the floor. A two-headed attack of Lore Devos (15.0 points per game) and Mollie Mounsey (11.3 points per game) pace the Rams who have just nine players who have seen game-action this season.

Colorado State holds a 20-9 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1975. The Pioneers have not won since winning two-straight in 2011 & 2012.
