Dylan Gambrell Signs with San Jose Sharks

March 26, 2018

DENVER - Dylan Gambrell has signed a standard, entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks, the Sharks announced on Monday.

“Dylan is one of the top college players in the country, who has proven through his many accomplishments that he can compete at the highest level,” Sharks General Manager Doug Wilson said in a press release. “We believe his speed, combined with his high-end Hockey IQ, make him ready to be an NHL player. We are confident that with his skill set, he will make an impact with our team.”

Gambrell finished his collegiate career with 132 points (43-89-132) in 120 games. The Bonney Lake, Wash. native finished third in team scoring during the 2017-2018 season, logging 43 points (13-30-43) in 41 games to mark his third-consecutive 40-point season. Gambrell finished third in NCHC regular-season scoring with 30 points (9-21-30) and led the league with 21 assists. He was a 2018 Hobey Baker Award nominee, finalist for the NCHC Three Stars Award and was selected for Second-Team All-Conference. The 5’11,” 188 pound forward was a member of the 2017 National Championship team and finished tied for 37th among Denver’s all-time scorers.
