Men's Golf Places 12th at The Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Denver men's golf team closed out the Duck Invitational on Tuesday, finishing 12th. The Pioneers shot a final-round 15-over-par 299 team score.
Head coach Erik Billinger went with the lineup of Chris Korte, Eric Hagen, Isaac Petersilie, Jackson Solem and John Sand.
Par for the 7,020-yard course was 71 at the Eugene Country Club.
No. 30 Oregon and Liberty tied for the team title in the 16-team field with a team score of 13-over-par.
Korte saved his best performance for the final round on Tuesday, firing a 1-under 70 that put in a tie for 21st. The former Regis standout recorded four birdies in the round.
The Littleton native's big day resulted in jumping up 20 spots on the leaderboard.
Sand ended his day in a tie for 43rd after shooting a 76 on the afternoon.
Hagen wrapped up his tournament in a tie for 51st.
Petersilie finished up the round tied for 64th.
Solem had his best round of the tournament, putting up a 3-over 74 on Tuesday.
The Crimson and Gold return to action for the Aggie Invitational on Apr. 7 in Bryan, Texas.
