
Calkins Finishes Fourth in 50 Fly at Canadian Nationals

MONTREAL - University of Denver men's swimming redshirt-freshman Stephen Calkins (Calgary, Alberta) took fourth in the 50m butterfly with a 24.28, a hundredth of a second away from medaling on Friday night at the 2018 Canadian National Championships.
Calkins also finished ninth in the 200m freestyle finals on Friday with a 1:54.24. On Thursday, Calkins finished sixth in the 50m freestyle with a 23.30.
During his rookie season with the Pioneers, Calkins was a member of the first All-American relay in the program's history, helping Denver to a 14th place finish in the 200 free relay.
