The Denver Pioneers (8-8, 3-1) continued their success on the home court with a 7-0 win against Oral Roberts in a Summit League match on Friday at Lifetime Fitness.
The victory marked the Pioneers’ fourth win in their last five home matches as well as their second sweep of the season.
Denver opened the day on a positive note as Mattia Ros and Wyatt Lovera’s 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles paved the way for Matt Summers and Jesse Ruder-Hook to secure the team point with a 6-3 victory at No. 1.
In singles play, the Pioneers swept five of six matches. Sean Huynh recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6, Ros registered a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1, Eric Morris logged a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5, Summers posted a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2, Ruder-Hook won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3, then Pedro Fernandez Del Valle battled for a 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4) win at No. 4.
Denver is set to return to the court for its final home match of the season on Thursday, April 12 against Boise State.
