MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – Sophomore
Sid Farber (Portland, Ore.) took second in the 50 free to earn a spot on the podium Saturday night at the 2018 Dolphin Fran Crippen Memorial Swim Meet of Champions at the new Marguerite Recreation Center.
Freshman
Cy Jager (Moscow, Idaho) began Denver's night in the 50 breast semifinals, eventually going on to finish seventh in the 50 breast finals later in the evening with a time of 29.57.
Sophomore distance swimmer
Colin Gilbert (Kamloops, B.C.) and freshman
Cameron Auchinachie (Binghamton, N.Y.) both swam in the 200 free finals, finishing 15
th and 16
th, respectively with times of 1:54.81 and 1:55.84.
The Pioneers had three swimmers in the 50 free semifinals on Saturday night. Farber took third in the semifinals with a 22.85, while Auchinachie finished 17
th after reaching the wall in 24.07 and sophomore
Robin Kuebler (Centennial, Colo.) took 18
th in 24.10. Farber improved his time by 0.13 seconds in the finals, climbing a spot up the board to finish second, 0.11 seconds behind Michael Chadwick.
