Nick Meldrum Named U.S. Equipment Manager for World Junior Championship

Equipment Manager enters his 10th season with the Pioneers

Denver Pioneers Equipment Manager Nick Meldrum has been named United States equipment manager for the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship to be held from Dec. 26, 2018 – Jan. 5, 2019 in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, USA Hockey announced on Thursday.
 
Entering his tenth year with Denver, Meldrum is responsible for the purchase, distribution, maintenance and repair of equipment for Pioneers players and staff as well as equipment room operations for the entire athletic department.
 
Meldrum served two (2) seasons as equipment manager for the United States National Development Team Program (USNDTP) prior to joining the Pioneers. During his tenure with the USNDTP, he worked with the U17 and U18 squads, winning a gold medal with the Americans at the 2009 IIHF World U18 Championship and a silver medal at the 2007 World U17 Challenge.
 
"I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to represent the United States at the World Junior Championship," Meldrum said. "I am honored to be able to represent my country at this prestigious tournament and I want to thank my family, the University of Denver and USA Hockey for making it possible."
