DENVER— The University of Denver women's volleyball team welcomes the Baylor Bears to the Mile High City for a preseason match-up on Friday evening at 7 p.m. MT. Fans are invited to Hamilton Gymnasium to catch a sneak peek of this year's team. Admission to the event is free.

Last season, the Pioneers finished with an overall record of 23-6, including 12-2 in The Summit League, and a 14-1 mark at home. They ended the 2017 season on a high note, earning their fourth consecutive Summit League Tournament title, defeating Oral Roberts 3-1. Denver also advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-consecutive year, losing to Cal Poly in the first round.

Baylor checked in at 16
th in the AVCA 2018 Preseason Poll and was picked second in the Big-12 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Bears finished last season with a 24-7 overall record and 13-3 in the Big-12 Conference, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the third-consecutive year. They lost to Colorado in the second round of last year's NCAA postseason. Â
