Denver Finishes 9th after Day One of Tucker Invitational

Missura shoots 1-over on the day
Albuquerque, N.M. – The University of Denver men's golf team continued the fall season on Friday at the New Mexico South Golf Course, placing ninth through two rounds of the William H. Tucker Invitational.
Par for the 7,555-yard course was 72.
Head coach Erik Billinger went with the lineup of Cal McCoy, Jun Ho Won, Esteban Missura, Jackson Solem and Eric Hagen.
Missura kicked off the tournament with an even par 72 and backed it up with a 73 to finish tied for 26th (1-over) after two rounds.
Won, who is tied for 32nd, fired an opening 75 but bounced back with a 1-under 71 to finish at 3-over par after 36 holes.
Hagen began the event with a solid round of 73 and followed suit with another 74 that included four birdies on the back nine.
McCoy sits in 70th while Solem wrapped up his day tied for 87th after the first two rounds of play.
Carson Griggs also competed but as an individual, shooting rounds of 70 and 72 to be tied for eighth place.
Final-round action is set for Saturday.
