DENVER – Denver Pioneers men's hockey freshman forward
Brett Stapley has been named NCHC Rookie of the Week for his three-point performance in Denver's 4-4 tie and NCHC shootout win against Colorado College on Saturday at Magness Arena, the NCHC announced on Monday.
Stapley recorded two goals, one assist and the NCHC shootout winner against the Tigers. In addition to his point totals, the Montreal Canadiens prospect and Campbell River, B.C. native went 12-7 in the faceoff circle with a +2 rating and 6 shots. This marks Stapley's second weekly honor of the season. He has five goals and 11 assists through 19 games.
