The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team improved to 2-1 with a 7-0 win against the Colorado State – Pueblo Thunderbirds on Saturday afternoon at the Denver Tennis Park. The match marked the Pioneers' second-straight sweep.
Mattia Ros/Pedro Fernandez del Valle opened the day with a 6-1 win at No. 2 against Richard Garcia/Cade Boedeker, then

Daniel Krulig secured the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 3 against Ogulcan Deniz /Dante Alcala.
The Pioneers cruised on the singles court with every student-athlete winning in straight sets. Ros, Fernandez del Valle,
Matt Summers,
James Davis,
Ignatius Castelino and Krulig earned solo victories. Ros (6-3, 6-1), Krulig (6-1, 6-0) and Fernandez del Valle (6-3, 6-0) paced the Pioneers, securing the second victory of the season and first of the day as Denver looks ahead to a matchup against Weber State at 5:30 p.m.
