Men’s Golf Opens Spring with Arizona Intercollegiate

Rounds 1&2 set for Monday
DENVER – The University of Denver golf team heads down to Tucson and warm weather to start its spring season with the Arizona Intercollegiate on Monday. Rounds one and two will be played on day one of the two-day tournament at the Sewailo Golf Club.
Par for the 7,292-yard course is 71.
Head coach Erik Billinger is going with the lineup of Esteban Missura, Cal McCoy, Jackson Solem, Eric Hagen and John Sand.
The Pioneers look to make some noise in the highly talented 16-team field that features ninth-ranked Brigham Young, No. 11 Arizona State, No. 18 Texas A&M and No. 41 UCLA.
Missura is coming off a strong performance at the Latin America Amateur Championship last weekend and looks to bring his great play into the spring season for the Pioneers.
