DENVER – Denver Pioneers men's hockey freshman forward

Ian Mitchell have been named National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Players of the Week for the games played between Oct. 5 – Oct. 12, the NCHC announced on Monday.
Brink was named NCHC Rookie of the Week after recording two goals and two assists through four games. In addition to his four points, the Philadelphia Flyers prospect leads the Pioneers with 13 shots and has posted a +4 rating. The Minnetonka, Minn. native scored his first career goal in his first career game on Oct. 5 vs. Alaska Fairbanks.
Mitchell was tabbed NCHC Defenseman of the Week with two goals and two assists through the first four games. The junior captain and Chicago Blackhawks prospect is on a four-game point streak with a eight shots, a game-winning goal on Oct. 6 vs. Alaska Fairbanks and a +3 rating.
