Sammy Walker (Los Gatos, Calif.) and men's swimmer
Adriel Sanes (Rosharon, Texas) have been named award winners for this week's Summit League honors, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Cronin won four individual events to help lead the Pioneers to a pair of dual victories against Colorado State and Colorado Mesa last week. The Denver senior earned her first Summit League Swimmer of the Week honor after sweeping the 100 fly and 200 fly events over the weekend. Cronin's altitude adjusted time of 59.42 in the 100 fly and 2:02.43 in the 200 fly both rank 30
th in the country (as of 10/14).
Walker won the 3-meter dive in the Pioneers dual win over Colorado Mesa on Saturday, a day after finishing second overall against Colorado State. The Denver senior's award in the fourth weekly award of her collegiate career.
Sanes won all four events he swam in a dual against Colorado Mesa, including a sweep of the two breaststroke events. The Denver junior's altitude adjusted time of 2:01.38 in the 200 breast ranks 12
th in the country (as of 10/14). This week's award is the second of Sanes' career.
UP NEXT:. Denver's men will be back in action Saturday against Air Force at 1 p.m. MT at El Pomar Natatorium. The Pioneers will honor their seniors before the meet on Saturday. This weekend, the Denver women head to Miami for the 2019 Dual-A-Pool-Ooza. The three-dual weekend will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. MT.
