DU Travels to San Juan for Puerto Rico Clasico

SCOUTING AKRON
•    The Zips are first in the MAC East standings.
•    Akron earned a 64-52 victory against North Carolina A&T in its last contest on Dec. 16.
•    Senior Haliegh Reinoehl leads Akron in scoring and rebounding with averages of 13.1 points per game and 7.9 rebounds.

SCOUTING WESTERN MICHIGAN
•    Western Michigan sits first in the MAC West standings.
•    In their last outing, the Broncos claimed a 90-69 win over Chicago State on Dec. 14.
•    The Broncos are led in scoring by redshirt sophomore Jordan Walker, who is averaging 16.1 points.
•    Redshirt senior Breanna Mobley is grabbing 10.3 rebounds per contest to lead the team, while also averaging 13.3 points.

COMMON FOE
•    Denver and Western Michigan have both faced New Mexico State this season.
•    The Pioneers fell to the Aggies 78-75 on Nov. 9, while Western Michigan earned a 79-76 victory on Nov. 30.

EXCLUSIVE CLUB
•    In a bounce-back performance against Southern Utah, Nelson scored 15 points to give her 1,007 in her career, becoming just the 26th player in program history with at least 1,000 career points.
•    After grabbing 15 rebounds in the Pioneers win over Southern Utah, the senior forward is 50 away from 700 in her career.
•    She will be just the eighth player in program history with at least 1,000 career points and 700 career rebounds.

SHOOTING UP THE RECORDS
•    After a shooting display that included going 5-of-10 from beyond the arc on Dec. 16 against Southern Utah, senior Lauren Loven jumped to fourth in the Summit League record book with 282 3s made in her career.
•    Loven also moved to sixth in league history with 707 career 3s attempted.
•    With her 31-point outing against Southern Utah, Loven has now moved to 16th in program history with 1,165 career points.

DOUBLE THE FUN
•    Nelson recorded her eighth double-double of the season against Southern Utah with 15 points and 15 boards.
•    The senior forward leads the Summit league and is currently ranked second in the nation in double-doubles with eight this year.
•    The Dover, Minnesota native has 20 double-doubles in her Denver career.
•    Nelson is averaging a double-double through 11 games with averages of 17.4 points and 12.5 rebounds.
