SCOUTING NORTH DAKOTA
•   The Fighting Hawks went 9-4 in non-league play.
•   UND heads into Summit League play after falling 79-73 to New Orleans on Dec. 28.
•   North Dakota is leading the Summit League and 17th in the country with 44.38 rebounds per game.
•   The Fighting Hawks lead the Summit League with 4.6 blocks per contest and 17.4 assists per game.
•   Julia Fleecs is leading the team with 10.2 points per game, while Jaclyn Jarnot's 6.8 rebounding average is first on UND.
LOCKDOWN BEHIND THE ARC
•   Denver and North Dakota are first and second in the Summit League in 3-point field-goal defense.
•   UND is first at 27.3 percent, while DU is second with 30.8 percent.
WEEKLY HONORS
•   Senior
Madison Nelson opened Summit League play with a double-double after scoring a career-high 31 points and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds in DU's 91-82 win over North Dakota State on Dec. 29 to be named Summit League Player of the Week.
•   The senior added a game-high five steals and three blocks, along with a team-high three assists.
•   This is her fifth honor of her career and third this season with the last coming on Dec. 2.
DOUBLE THE FUN
•   Nelson recorded her ninth double-double of the season against NDSU with 31 points and 12 rebounds.
•   The senior forward leads the Summit league and is currently ranked third in the nation in double-doubles with nine this year.
•   The Dover, Minnesota native has 21 double-doubles in her career.
•   Nelson is averaging a double-double through 14 games with averages of 17.8 points and 11.4 rebounds.
