DENVER. – The University of Denver golf team will participate in the Folds of Honor program this year. The Pioneers will have one member of the team carry a special bag at each tournament this spring season.
This season the team is honoring Danny Dietz, former Navy Seal and Littleton native. Every tournament this spring season every player and coach on the team will vote for one person who they think exemplifies the qualities that Danny portrayed as a Navy Seal and fighting the war on terrorism in Afghanistan.
The player that receives the most votes from their team will carry the bag for the entire tournament and help raise money for the Folds of Honor in Danny Dietz's name.
For every birdie that this player makes during the tournament round, three to four people that they have selected will donate a specific amount each birdie that the player makes. Our first player to carry the bag this spring season was
Maggie Cowart.
If you are interested in donating to the Folds of Honor Program in memory of Danny Dietz, please contact head coach
