Pioneers Topple Wisconsin, 5-2

The Denver Pioneers women's tennis team (6-1, 0-0) pushed its winning streak to five matches with a 5-2 victory against Wisconsin on Friday at the Denver Tennis Park.
After Bianca Mok/Camille Verden-Anderson defeated Castellanu/Makarova 6-2 at No. 1 doubles and Anna Riedmiller/Tatum Burger defeated Keberle/Markham 7-5 at No. 2 doubles, the Pioneers built upon their doubles point with four victories on the singles courts. Straight-set victories from Riedmiller at No. 3, Verden-Anderson at No. 6 set up Arisha Ladhani for a match-clinching 6-1, 6-4 victory against No. 61 Keberle at No. 2. Burger sealed the win with a come-from-behind 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 4
The Pioneers are set to return to the court on Sunday, Feb. 17 against DePaul. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
