PRINCETON, N.J. – In the long anticipated return to a very familiar campus for current University of Denver men's lacrosse head coach
Bill Tierney, the [9/9] University of Denver men's lacrosse team fell to [RV/-] Princeton 14-13 on Tuesday night at Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.
Senior attackman
Austin French (Danville, Calif.) netted his first hat trick of the season and the 10
th of his career to lead the Pioneers attack. Freshman
Ellis Geis (Tustin, Calif.) also added three points with two goals and a helper. Four Pioneers had multi-goal games as junior
Danny Logan (Upper Arlington, Ohio) and classmate
Ethan Walker (Peterborough, Ontario) each scored two apiece.
Senior
Alex Ready (Lancaster, Pa.) made 11 stops for the Pioneers, his third double-digit save total of the season and the 16
th of his career. Logan and redshirt-senior LSM
Matt Neufeldt (Naperville, Ill.) each picked up seven ground balls in the contest for the Pioneers. Freshman
Brett Boos (Parker, Colo.) went 20-of-31 from the faceoff dot, picking up five grounders.

Presented by Your Hometown Toyota Stores, will return home for its first home game in 34 days when the Pioneers open BIG EAST play against [19/RV] Georgetown on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. MT at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on Altitude TV and ESPN Denver 1600. Denver will play at home on consecutive-weekends for the first time this season when the Pioneers host Villanova on April 6, with faceoff set for 3 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network and ESPN Denver 1600.
