Denver Hits the Road for Two Matches

DENVER – The Denver men's tennis team (5-5, 1-0) is set to return to the court for a pair of road matches this weekend. DU will take on UNLV on Saturday, March 9 and Cal Poly on Sunday, March 10 in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Despite a three-match losing streak the Pioneers are off to a solid start in the campaign with a .500 record 10 matches in. The season is highlighted by an early four-match win streak which was capped off with a 7-0 win over in-state opponent Air Force. Mattia Ros leads the Pios and is currently riding a three-match win streak in singles dating back to the match against Valparaiso. Ignatius Castelino is also off to a good start, compiling a record of 8-2 overall in singles matches this year. On the doubles court Matt Summers and James Davis have gone 6-2 at No. 1 while Ros and Pedro Fernandez Del Valle have gone 5-3 at No. 2.

First serve is set for 2 p.m. MT on Saturday and 12 p.m. MT on Sunday.
