DENVER - The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team (11-8, 6-0) secured sole possession of the Summit League regular season title for the fifth time in the last six years with a 6-1 win against the Omaha Mavericks on Friday at the Denver Tennis Park.
Denver opened with the doubles point as

James Davis won 6-0 at No. 1 and
Mattia Ros/Pedro Fernandez del Valle won 6-3 at No. 2. Summers carried that momentum into his singles match where he defeated Hugo Piles Ballester 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. Victories from
Daniel Krulig and
Ignatius Castelino at No. 6 & No. 5 secured the clinch for the Pioneers. Ros continued Denver's success with a tightly contested 7-6 (5), 7-5 win at No. 1 and Fernandez del Valle capped the team's fourth straight win with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 win at No. 4.
The Pioneers' final match of the regular season is set for Sunday, April 21 against New Mexico. First serve is set for 1 p.m. MT.
