Denver – The No. 43 University of Denver women's tennis team knocked off No. 47 Utah 4-0 on Tuesday evening. The win is DU's six-straight and moves the Pios to 13-3 overall and 3-0 in the Summit League.
The Pioneers began the day with a dominant performance in doubles to secure the team point.
Bianca Mok/Camille Verden-Anderson started the day with a 6-3 victory from the No. 1 position and
Tatum Burger/Hada Chang clinched the point with a 6-4 win from the No. 2 position.
Denver's solid day continued in singles play as Verden-Anderson got things started with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Whitney Hekking at the No. 5 position. Then, No. 99 Mok made it 3-0 with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Brianna Chisholm at the No. 1 position. Finally, Chang locked up the victory with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph over Leah Heimuli at the No. 6 position.
Next up: Denver returns to the court on April 6
th when the Pioneers travel to Tucson for a matchup with Arizona at 12 pm MT.
