Denver Takes Aim at Fifth Summit League Championship

Round one set for Sunday
NEWTON, Kan. – The University of Denver golf team looks to go for its fifth league championship this weekend at the Summit League Championship. The Pioneers open the tournament on Sunday with round one at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
Head coach Lindsay Kuhle is going with the lineup of Mary Weinstein, Sophie Newlove, Camille Enright, Alyson Bean and Trussy Li.
Par for the 6,030-yard course is 72.
DU heads into the tournament running hot after a very strong spring season. The Pioneers are heading in after winning the Black bracket in match play of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, which saw the team knock off No. 21 Alabama twice in that tournament.
Weinstein looks at keeping up her great play after coming of the most recent Summit League Golfer of the Week award for her play at the Liz Murphey.
Newlove looks to defend her individual title at the tournament after winning it in a playoff last year.
