LOS ANGELES – Former University of Denver men's soccer standout Andre Shinyashiki (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led the NCAA in goals (28) and game-winning goals (11) last fall, earned a plethora of awards, including the Senior CLASS Award, scored a goal in his Major League Soccer debut with the Colorado Rapids, and on Sunday night, led the Rapids to their first victory of the 2019 campaign with a late game-winner off the substitutes bench to take Colorado past the LA Galaxy 1-0 at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Shinyashiki now has two goals in 10 professional appearances, including nine off the bench for the club.
