The Pioneers and Tigers split the points at 2-2
DENVER – The University of Denver men's soccer program got two goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half to come from 2-0 down at halftime and earn at 2-2 draw with Pacific on Saturday evening at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.

How it Happened:
12' Denver's first real chance of the opening quarter hour, started with a shot from Luke Schultz that was blocked and fell to the feet of Erik Collins. Collins had a hit from the left side of the area, sending it through a defender and forcing a save from the Pacific keeper which went in behind for a corner.
22' Pacific's best chance in the opening half hour fell to Carlos Maldonado, getting free in the 18-yard box before looking to pick out the left side netting, but outside back Will King was in the goal frame and deflected the shot in behind for a corner.
29' The visitors took the lead against the run of play when Josephat Yangyuoru found the side netting off a feed from Massimo Erfani.
36' Tomi Giwa picked off a pass in Denver's attacking half and setup Tyler Schommer at the top of the box, but Schommer got under the attempt and skied it over the bar.
47' Freshman centerback Ryan Mackay cut the deficit in half with a goal off a set piece. Collins took a free pick from just outside the box on the left half of the pitch. Bryce Willoughby won the free kick, had his shot saved and Mackay slid in to clean up the rebound and make it a 2-1 game.
49' Fresh off his first career goal on Wednesday, Tomi Giwa nearly had a second of the week, but the Pacific keeper kicked the shot wide of the post.
58' Schultz earned Denver's deserved equalizer. The Pioneers turned the Tigers over in the press, and Schultz settled himself at the top of the box and fired it above the keepers dive for it to make it 2-2 before the hour mark.
68' Schultz looked to bag the brace and put his team ahead, but another impressive save from Alejandro Caracheo Luna kept the match level heading into the final 20.
80' Pacific's best chance in the second half fell to Edwin Moreno-Andrade, but it was wide of Alex Hohl's post and out for a goal kick.
82' A cross in from Collins down the Denver left found Schommer outside the six-yard box but the volley was saved with quick reflexes from the Tigers' keeper.
