COLORADO SPRINGS (DU/CSCAA) – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches' Association Scholar All-America honors for their performances in the classroom during the spring quarter, the CSCAA announced on Tuesday.
Denver's women's program combined for the fifth-best grade point average in the country in the spring, turning in a 3.7 team GPA last quarter.
A record number of teams achieved Scholar All-America status in each NCAA Division with men's teams seeing the biggest gains. At 3.45, the median GPA among women's teams was the highest on record. The men's median (3.23) was down slightly from the fall.
For the first time in history, over 100 men's teams earned Scholar All-America honors. The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
