DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer team and Boston University shared the spoils in the 2019 season opener, drawing 0-0 on Thursday night at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
Boston outshot Denver 8-7 in the match, and the Pioneers took four of the five corners in the season opener. Senior captain
Brittany Wilson (Littleton, Colo.) made four saves en-route to the 18
th shutout of her Pioneer career.
The Pioneers played to just one scoreless draw a year ago, and have now played 11 since the start of the 2006 season. Denver had a 53-47 edge in possession.
UP NEXT:
Denver will continue a four-match homestand to open the regular season on Sunday when the Pioneers welcome Drake to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Kickoff on Sunday is set for 12 p.m. MT, and the game will be broadcast live on Altitude 2.
