The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team defeated Wichita State 4-3 on Saturday, utilizing the doubles point and four singles victories in its season-opening victory on Saturday.

Matt Summers/James Davis and Ignacio Rivero Crespo/Daniel Krulig opened the match with doubles victories, then Summers and Krulig swept on the singles courts and Davis returned from a first set loss at No. 3 to win 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, securing the Pioneer win.
