DENVER – After ranking fifth in the USCHO preseason poll last week, the Denver Pioneers hockey team ranked 4
th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine preseason poll as released on Monday.
Denver earned 370 points and one first-place vote in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll conducted in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) with input from coaches and members of the media from each of the six Division I college hockey conferences as well as officers of the AHCA and USA Hockey. North Dakota took 1
st place with 494 points and 22 first-place votes, while Boston College ranked 2
nd with 418 points and three first-place votes and Minnesota Duluth ranked 3

The Pioneers return 16 student-athletes from last season, including NCHC Rookie of the Year finalist
Bobby Brink, NCHC Goalie of the Year finalist
Magnus Chrona and eight seniors. Denver has nine NHL prospects on its roster after adding freshmen
Antti Tuomisto,
Carter Savoie,
Mike Benning and
McKade Webster.
The NCHC is set to open the 2020-21 season with a "pod" in Omaha, Neb. beginning Dec. 1.
