Denver Set for Clash with Utah

The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team (7-0, 0-0) looks to continue its undefeated start to the season with a matchup against Utah on Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Denver Tennis Park.

Denver's unbeaten stretch has come during a home-concentrated start to the year. The Pioneers have played five of their first seven matches at the Denver Tennis Park and will ultimately play 11 of their first 14 matches in the Mile High City.

Juniors James Davis and Matt Summers have led Denver through the early part of the season with 7-0 marks on the singles courts and a 6-1 mark at #1 doubles, where the duo is ranked 21st in the country. Senior Ignatius Castelino and sophomore Daniel Krulig have also made significant contributions for the Pioneers 5-0 singles marks, while the tandem of junior Mattia Ros and senior Pedro Fernandez del Valle is 6-1 at #2 doubles.

Denver and Utah share a common opponent with both teams defeating Utah State 6-1 earlier this year.

First serve is set for 6 p.m. MT on Thursday.
