SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Senior Madison Nelson was named to the First Team All-Summit League, while senior Lauren Loven earned Second Team All-Summit League honors, the league announced Thursday.

Nelson recorded a historical senior campaign as she became the seventh player in program history to score 1,000 career points and 700 career rebounds, set a new program single-season scoring record with 559 points and a new school rebounding single-season record with 333.

The senior forward has a Summit League leading 19 double-doubles this season, which is also best for fourth in the country. She is currently the only player in the Summit League averaging a double-double this season with 19.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.

The Dover, Minnesota native has recorded two 20-20 performances this season, one of only three players in the entire NCAA with multiple this year and the only player in the Summit League with at least one. She scored 24 points and grabbed 21 rebounds against UC Irvine on Nov. 29 and poured in 21 points with a career-high 22 boards against Omaha on Feb. 15.

Nelson is recording career highs this season in points (19.3), rebounds (11.5), blocks (1.8) and steals (2.4). She scored a career-high 34 points against Purdue Fort Wayne on Feb. 27 to tie the program's Division I single-game scoring record.

Loven was crucial down the stretch for the Pioneers, closing the regular season scoring in double-digits in the final 10 games.

The Scottsdale, Arizona native hit a career-high nine 3s against Omaha on Feb. 15, the second most in a single game in program history.

The senior guard is scoring a career-best 15.2 points per game in 2019-20. She has hit two or more 3s in 23 games this season while moving into second in the Summit League record books with 340 career 3s made and 825 career 3s attempted.
