No. 42 Denver Stays Hot in 4-2 Win vs. Cal Poly

DENVER - The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team (11-1, 0-0) continued its blazing hot start to the season with a 4-2 win against Cal Poly on Friday at the Denver Tennis Park.

The Pioneers lost the doubles point, though were able to rebound with four singles wins from Mattia Ros, James Davis, Daniel Krulig and Pedro Fernandez del Valle. After Ignacio Rivero Crespo/Ignatius Castelino logged Denver's lone victory in doubles, the Pioneers stole a 3-1 lead in singles play with Ros' 6-3, 7-5 win at #2, Davis' 6-2, 6-3 win at #3 and Krulig's 6-1, 6-3 win at #6. Pedro Fernandez del Valle clinched the win for the second straight match with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 victory at #4. 

The Pioneers host Lamar on Sunday, March 8. First serve is set for 12 p.m. MT at the Denver Tennis Park.
