Jones Goes Low in Round Two at Bandon Dunes Championship

Fires a 3-under in Individual Role on Day Two
BANDON, Ore. – The University of Denver men's golf team completed the second round of the Bandon Dunes Championship on Monday at the par-71, 6,577 yard Pacific Dunes course at the Bandon Dunes Resort.
The Pioneers posted a second round score of 9-over (293) to finish tied for 12th at 586 (293-293).
DU was led by the play of Connor Jones, who catapulted up 34 spots on the individual leaderboard to be tied for 23rd heading into tomorrow's final round. He fired a 3-under par (68) in round two to give him a 36-hole total of 143 (1-over).
Oregon State leads the 16-team field with a 36-hole score of 10-under (558), while Oregon 4-under (564) is second.
Two Pioneers – Cal McCoy and Carson Griggs – are all tied for 34th after the first two rounds with a score of 3-over (145).
Jun Ho Won carded a lineup-best 1-over 72 on Monday, finishing tied for 41st at 4-over.
Jackson Solem tied for 64th with a score of 150 (8-over), while John Sand has a two-round total of 158 (16-over) and is tied for 93rd.
