Malibu, Calif. - The Denver Pioneers women's tennis team fell 4-1 to No. 17 USC in its season opener on Sunday at the ITA Kick Off in Malibu, Calif.
USC opened the day with the doubles point and continued to extend that lead to 2-0 with the first singles win of the day at #5.
Camille Verden-Anderson won at #6 to make it 2-1, but the senior's win 6-3-6-1 win at #6 vs. McKee was as close as the Pioneers came to the Trojans.
Denver will take on Wisconsin on Monday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. MT.
