Denver Finishes Day One of Arizona Intercollegiate

Missura tied for 15th through 18 holes
TUCSON, ARIZ. – The University of Denver men's golf team finished up its first round of the 2021 season on Monday at the Arizona Intercollegiate. The Pioneers post a team score of 311 (27-over) for the round to put them in a tie for 11th at the Sewailo Golf Club.
Significant Stats:
- Host Arizona leads the 17-team field with an even-par 284, 12 strokes ahead of runner-up New Mexico.
- The Pioneers sit tied for 11th with a team score of 311.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Esteban Missura had the best day for DU, finishing tied for 15th after shooting 74 (3-over).
- Jackson Solem posted a 76 in his first round of the year, tying for 28th.
- Carson Griggs closed out the afternoon tied for 61st.
- Connor Jones tied for 74th.
- Cal McCoy ended his day tied for 82nd.
