Pioneers Bounce Back, Move up Three Spots on Day Two of Arizona Intercollegiate

Team shoots 3-under on the day
TUCSON, ARIZ. – The University of Denver men's golf team made a move up the leader board on Tuesday, going low and firing a sub-par round at the Arizona Intercollegiate. The Pioneers posted a 3-under 281 as a team, moving up three spots into eighth.
Significant Stats:
- Host Arizona leads the 17-team field with at 9-under, 10 strokes ahead of Wake Forest.
- The Pioneers moved up three spots into eighth and are 24-over for the tournament.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Esteban Missura kept his strong play going, putting up a 72 on the scorecard to move into a tie for 21st on Tuesday.
- Jackson Solem had his best round, going 1-under (70) to tie Missura for 21st.
- Cal McCoy was DU's biggest mover, ripping off a 68 to jump up 35 spots into a tie for 47th at 8-over, highlighted by going 4-under on the front nine.
- Connor Jones shot an even par 71 on the afternoon, putting him in a tie for 57th.
- Carson Griggs ended his round tied for 85th.

Denver closes out the tournament with final-round action on Wednesday.
