Denver Hockey Mourns the Loss of Jack Wilson

DENVER – The Denver Pioneer family mourns the loss of Jack Wilson who passed away last week.

Wilson played three seasons at Denver from 1961-63. The defenseman from Big River, Saskatchewan was a member of the 1961 National Championship team that set the program record for single-season wins with a 30-1-1 record. He was named WCHA Rookie of the year that season, tabbed First-Team All-WCHA in 1962 and named Second-Team All-WCHA in 1963. His 92 career points (23-69-92) rank 11th all-time among DU defensemen. Wilson later earned a selection to Canada's first national team.

Wilson is a cherished member of the DU community and his legacy will be remembered forever.
